IRVINE—Congresswoman Katie Porter (D-CA) today released the following statement after introducing a resolution to recognize July 30th as “National Whistleblower Day.” 

“Whistleblowers play an invaluable role in rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in government—and they must be protected. Congresswoman Jackie Speier and I are spearheading a resolution to recognize these brave and selfless Americans by making July 30th ‘National Whistleblower Appreciation Day.’”
